DIG A LITTLE DEEPER
Seven young women from Suzhou, China discuss their position and role as women in modern China, the history of women's rights in their country and their hopes for their future. Meanwhile, we watch as a young woman goes about her daily routine; getting ready in the morning, eating at her university's cafeteria, meeting friends for a day on the town. These images and unfiltered voices offer us an honest view into the mentality of a commonly misconceived demographic. By revealing the steadfast nature of these young women we break down the notion of a repressed people and reveal the strong feminist mentality present in modern day China.
